    Nothing. Nada. Zip. Trying to rest foot. It's getting better, it's on and off, so am trying a couple of weeks of no running to rest it as much as I can. Driving me crazy though!

    Foot still sore, ummed and aahhhed about doing Cardiff and then decided to go for it. Had a lovely morning! The sun shone, my toes, foot, leg, hip, other leg hurt at various intervals but I didn't care about time or pace and probably had my most enjoyable half marathon just soaking up the atmosphere! And once I stopped, my foot didn't hurt for the rest of the day! (But started again on Monday lol!)

    Sunday 13th October - end of week 41

    Clocked some decent mileage this week.
    I've done a run every day - either to or from work on 6 days (4 of under 2 miles, 2 of 5k), plus a 10k event today
    Had a physio appt 6 miles from home before work on Thursday. No car to get there, so looked at public transport. Would have to leave house at 6:36am. To walk? By 6:30am. No competition then. So I'd clocked up just over 7 miles before work (the walk there, plus a mile back to the bus route to get to work)

    The change in temperature is the sign that autumn has well and truly arrived but it hasn't stopped me getting out and about - starting the month off with 15 miles in the bank, end of September pics here too, feeling pretty pleased with the efforts ‏ — feeling happy

    Sunday 6th October - end of week 40

    Week off work. Monday was manic with dental appointment (which I walked out on due to dentist being caught in traffic), eye check, contact lens check and hearing test - plus packing to go away that evening - which meant no mileage clocked up for the challenge.

    The rest of the week (up until a few hours ago) was spent in the Lake District. My son was with me the first two nights, then he came home and my fella joined me. The next day my Mother joined us for two nights. Lots of odd jobs done on and around the property (we help to look after it in return for minimal cost breaks away from home), but I managed to fit a short run in every morning - and my fella and I went for a walk (to get the all important supply of Grasmere Gingerbread) yesterday.

    W/e 29/09
    Monday was to be my longest run before Cardiff. Hmm, got to 8.26 miles and left foot started hurting - had to hobble home! Rested for the rest of the week but then did Worcester Pitchcroft parkrun - partly to test foot but also because we were staying overnight on the Friday and I'd been planning my first tourist run there for ages, 3.10 miles. Foot ached but ran all the way, only for it to really start hurting on the Sunday, oops!

    Bad week for mileage, due to a flare up of my sciatica. Wasn't great Monday or Tuesday, and ended up taking Wednesday & Thursday off work. Due to having to take car to garage (near work) on Tuesday, that means I lost 3 days of commute mileage

    Things going well, still adding distance every month so the challenge is going well. As of this morning September stands at 91.4k.

    Lots of medals earnt recently and races run.

    Not much going on in October so will have more of a chance to sit and write a better post.

    Looking forward to earning the wolf medal. Aiming to do it in one hit, will have to schedule a couple of hours for it to make sure I have time to complete.

    Monday long run - 7.67 miles. Felt much better than the previous day. Wednesday long run 8.62 miles, getting back to normal now, thank goodness. But, too many weekend plans meant that was all I could fit in that week...

    I restarted C25K this week. Seems crazy when I'm doing 10k events, but I lost the ability to run more than a couple of km without walk breaks when I had some medical issues and took a break from running for almost a year, and I've not managed to improve on it. I'm hoping that this will be the kickstart I need. So I ran to work on Tuesday and Friday, and home from work on Wednesday. That's week 1 officially complete, but I plan to stick to week 1 this week as I donated blood on Saturday afternoon and that always knocks me for a while.

    Up to 38 miles after my holiday trip to Isle of Skye - amazing scenery and a much needed break, a fair bit of walking completed too so all in all happy with mileage
