I joined my local running club in 2017 , signi g up for their couch to 5k prog to learn how to run. My goal for this year is to run my first full marathon . I want to run 1,000 miles in 2019, this will be 350 miles more than what I ran in 2018.

In 2017 I ran about 252 miles, in 2018 I managed a whole 273 miles, this is the year I plan to double that, by hitting a 1000km in 2019, a healthy 621 miles.

If I happen to lose any weight at all that would be appreciated, but isn't the goal. At the end of this year I want to have hit at least one goal, and that has to be this one. Added to that I might throw my first marathon in for good look.

I am expecting tears and some really hard days, but lets go for it.

This year, 2018, I covered 711 miles in total, mixture of walking and running. Next year, I want to cover 800..yes that's right 800 miles over 12 months. It equates to just over 2.1 miles a day, 15.3 a week and 66.6 a month. I will do this as a mixture of walking and running, but will aim for atleast 400 miles of running :)

Using a combination of running, healthy eating and alcohol reduction I will lose at least 50 pounds. My weight crept up after having my little girl 4 years ago and suffering postnatal depression and anxiety. I am now in a viscous circle of eating cos I am anxious and being anxious and depressed about my weight gain. I started running for my mental health but alone it is not enough to tackle the weight loss but 2019 is going to be the year when I sort self out and get my arse into gear.

Having started running in April 2018, it is really beginning to change my life for the better. This year I want to continue to push myself and run to change and improve both my physical and mental health.

This year my running challenges are to:

* Complete a sub 30 5k
* Complete a sub 1 hour 10k
* Complete two half marathons
* Run 1000k over the entire year.
