As I look 50 in the eye, its time for me to get serious about my health and fitness. I am challenging myself to lose at least 25 lbs, the ultimate goal is 125 but that will not likely happen in one year. I also challenge myself to exercise 4 times a week, and complete 4 "outside races", as well as being able to run more than walk them!

Now That’s What I Call a Challenge 2019

My challenge for 2019 is to do 3,650,000 steps - averaging 10k a day, every day, for the year. I work a desk job so usually finish the day on max 6,000 steps.

My 2019 challenge is to also complete the couch to 5k app and start to run 2x a week.

By doing the above, I hope to lose 2 stone and improve my relationship with food and dieting.

Here’s to a healthier 2019! Good luck everyone

I have worked with my PT Caroline for over a year now and my fluctuating focus is a real frustration for her. I'm like the little girl with a little curl - when I'm good, I'm very, very good but when I'm bad, I eat everything.
Although I'm finishing 2018, the same weight I started, it's not really where I'm supposed to be so my challenge for this year is a) hit a 5kg weight loss but then also b) maintain it within 1kg at the end of the year.
Not going to lie, it won't be easy, I like food a lot but for a medal, I'll give it a good go

In 2019 my challenge is to walk 750 miles and increase my fitness levels. I would also like to lose 6 to 8 kilos so I am comfortable with how I look and feel (personal choice, not for anyone else but me).

I currently do the 50 mile monthly challenges, which to start with were tough, but I now need more of a challenge over a longer time period to keep me motivated and help me keep on track. I feel that if I can push myself that little bit more each month with a longer term challenge, I will achieve my Challenge, fitness and weight loss goals.

My aim is to beat my 2018 total of 920 miles for the year.

I’ve also signed up for the ministry of running medals to keep me motivated.

On top of my usual 10K races I’m adding 2 half marathons to my running. I’ve never run one, so that will be an additional challenge.

The final part of the challenge is to loose at least a stone in weight, during the year.

2019 will be the year for running. Having suffered with plantar fasciitis for the past 3 months I need to increase my distance slowly. I am signed up for the MOR medals so running a 1000km is already there as a challenge.
I have to average 84km to complete the 1000k, my furthest distance in a month has been 68km so I have a short way to go.
So with that in mind.......
My challenge is to run a greater distance each month than the previous month, with January starting at a minimum of 70km.
