    In the last few weeks I've been tackling an increase in distance from 5K. So far I've been increasing by 1Km on my "long run" every week.

    What have I learnt so far?

    Actually once you get past 4-5Km running seems to magically get easier
    7K isn't actually impossible...
    5K doesn't feel that far anymore!

    Oh also I've been doing some core exercises.... It hurt to begin with! But I've seen improvement after only 3 "sessions" - I can now hold a plank for 30 seconds rather than wobbling up to 20 seconds!

    Is anyone else currently taking on an increase in distance?

    Has anyone tackled the transition from 5K to 10K? If so what are your tips?
