Motivating me to re-kickstart my weightloss journey again, I have decided to set myself the challenge of running or walking a minimum of 5k every day, no excuses, to get myself out there and attain 500k

I'm also going to try and make it more interesting for myself by wearing tee-shirts/tops in the brightest colours or with the funniest slogans I can get my paws on.

    just a nice quiet walk today - which got me away from the chocolate I store in the freezer because it's my treat on saturdays. It was a nice day to be out, chilly but kept the chill off with use of my jumper and a hoodie 'borrowed' from my beloved Mr Psycho.

    I enjoyed being out even if my earphones did die when I was 3/4 through the walk which broke the immersion in my running app, but never mind, I hit my target for the day xx
    (oh, and I went ahead and applied with the clothing people asking me to be an ambassador. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. The worse they can do to me is change their minds and say 'no thank you' - though I will then point out that THEY approached ME first, I didn't approach them)

    oh my gosh, this Annual Leave of mine is flying by faster than I can blink. Today I went out with my mother for a walk from my house to town and back again, which found us doing a whopping 8k! Wow!

    Also had a weird moment this morning where I posted a photo to instagram and apparently got approached by a clothing line from the states. Not entirely certain they're legitimately interested in me or if they're just pranking me. I will look into it, hear them out, read the literature, see if it's something I want to do (and, more importantly, if the clothes will fit me!)

    ah well

    just a quickie today as I have many things to get on with - met up with my mother and whilst we were planning 10k, we wound up with 5k because of weather conditions. But it's still better than nothing ^_^

    113.37/500k - my total is creeping up slowly ;), that grand total doesn't seem so far away now

    Fabulousness abounds as my parcel from America FINALLY arrived, and with it my new UTTERLY Fabulous work out leggings and tops. I am overjoyed.
    As I'm off on Annual Leave this week I've taken the opportunity to sleep in a little bit except that the cat always lets me know when she wants feeding and it's usually at around 6am. So oh well.

    I've started following one of the Aaptive workouts on my phone 'Start Getting Stronger' so all my body hurts like crazy but weirdly enough, that makes me feel good.
    In order to stretch out a few of my muscles (I can't take a bath just yet as I have to go out and pick up my beloved Mr Psycho) I picked up my keys, my Random Hippo, my phone and earphones and I went for a nice long walk in the lovely cool air.

    Glad I did as it kept me away from the chocolate and the ice-cream in the freezer. I want to get on the scales and see a BIG loss on saturday.

    And look at me, making progress towards my 500k goal

    Well the lack of fabulousness continues with no sign of my parcel from America - this is, I am assured, being dealt with but i’m showing signs of the ‘gimmes!” because gods damn it, in the words of Bioshock 2: “Give. Me. My. Stuff!” I paid for it, I’ve waited for it (somewhat) patiently, I blinking well want it yesterday!

    But oh well, I still continue with the running, despite this major letdown. And looking at the bright side, I got my February medal yesterday and it is GLORIOUS! I absolutely cannot wait for March for the last one in the set

    Brr! It’s a little bit cold but I’m still getting out there for walks and runs.

    Work was quiet and I was mostly left alone (yay!) to drink coffee and just generally get on with my work. Because I got up late this morning I took myself for a nice 5.5k walk to shake off the cobwebs that seem to have taken up residence in my head today. Nice and awake now...just in time to go to sleep, lol

    95.31k/500k - nearly up to one tenth! Watch this space! Probably won’t be able to do it by tomorrow because I have overtime at work but definitely by the end of the week!

    ah, hello February, lovely to see you, I've made strides after work yesterday to earn my The Witch medal.

    It's been so amazingly cold that it's almost as good as coffee at waking me up during a morning walk; my weight-loss group has also started incentives to track things. If I get enough points, I could potentially live the dream of all runners and drink wine during my runs without spilling it (one of the Third Tier items is a set of portable wine tumblers, honestly, who could resist that?)

    Also, contacted the company sending me my new work out clothes because honey (that's me) is feeling a bit anxious about there whereabouts of her fabulous running outfits (I've been feeling decidedly UN-fabulous the last few days because of being bundled up in my old coat to get to work, so getting this parcel would be a bit of a boost for me) they were very nice and got back to me quickly - so watch this space for photos of my fab kit

    Look at me! Nearly a tenth of the way to my goal and February's only just started! *waves arms wildly* I'm going to do this!

    Toda started with a low cuss as it turned out that my work trousers weren’t dry and my leggings had gone walk about this forcing me into my only option- my long flowing skirt. A few months before I wanted to but I found my thick tights and an extra pair of socks ( the toesies must be kept roasty after all)
    Found a long sleeved undershirt, my coat, scarf and gloves and went out.

    Lovely frosty chilly air is almost as effective as coffee at waking me up and I happily...walked cautiously in places where it was icy on the pavement. Got some good photos that I’m happy with.

    this morning I managed to pull myself out of bed to get my uniform & shoes on and get myself out the door for a walk. Despite finding that my right earphone has given up the ghost so I had to do my Zombies,Run! mission in mono (which was more than a bit annoying but hey ho, there we go) managed a decent 4.63k before work.

    And I enjoyed being out in the frosty air under what turned out to be a blood moon.

    I got some good pics, stretched out all my muscles (got captured by Professor Van Ark - conclusion in next mission!) and I'm pretty certain I read somewhere that the cold air is good for you. I can't remember where I read that but the cold air did definitely wake me up enough to go to work where there was hot coffee on offer.

    Yes! YES! Yaaas, my fab-crew! I did it! I’m FINALLY just a little bit over one-tenth of the way to my year’s 500k goal! That medal will be mine! I’m unstoppable!

    Many thanks to the small furry overlady (aka my cat) for the early wake up - she was pointing out that her food bowl was empty and could I rectify that please? It got me up and dressed and out the door and managing my first 5k before work this week.

    Early walks before work. Not quite managing to get out of bed before 6am so I can go further but I have overtime at work tonight and can’t go running.
    Still, 6.56 over two days is pretty good. It all adds up. Sooooi close to 50k!

    just a quick walk today before my weekly weigh-in. I walked from where Mr Psycho works and took the long route to where my weight loss meeting is, managing 3k at a pretty good pace. Rewarded for my hard work this week with a 3lbs loss. I'm back on track with my weight loss ^_^

    Needing to clear my head so I could focus on my online course, I put on my shoes, my favourite wooly hat (Random Hippo in my pocket) and went out into the fresh air. Got 6k under my belt and the urge to go to sleep

    Went out for a walk with my beloved MrPsycho today, we walked all around town (he likes to walk with a destination in mind, i could just keep going until I decide to turn back on my own)

    So, we had a nice walk around our town, stopping for lunch (and stopping the route trackers) at my favourite local delicatessen - I had their Mexican Veggie&Bean soup without bread, sour cream or nachos and he, being mindful of his HE plan, didn't have the place's all-day full breakfast, instead opting to have some eggs on their homemade brown bread - it's the little changes that add up, remember!
    (though I did promise him a cake from there on Saturday, which is my weigh-in day, as a treat to cheer him up after his day at work)

    Also got to model my rather fabulous leggings, that I haven't had a chance to wear since I bought them.

    Life is too short to run in boring leggings. Say 'No' to boring work-out clothing, people (as you can see, my cat, Nova, approves of my leggings)

    didn't feel like running today so went for a long walk instead, because the sky was pretty clear and it was a good opportunity to take some photos in the sunshine even though it was cold.
    Did some walking before an appointment I had in town this morning, then waited a few hours after I got home (gotta chill) and then went out.
    All in all, I walked 8.09k today and reunited Random Hippo with their scarf (it's dirty, it needs a wash) and I found a pretty awesome keychain-thing that I have christened 'BatDog!' - which like every random thing I find, need a clean up but it's still pretty awesome

    All in all, it's been a nice day. Now I'm home with the cat and a mug of milky coffee. D'you like my rainbow jumper? it's not running apparel but it kept me warm whilst walking xx

    Been trying for the last 3 days to get out and go running, but wednesday my legs were killing me after the 10k on NYD, Thursday I wound up doing overtime at work and by the time I got out it was pitchblack and I couldn't find my lights, Friday I was just worn out from everything and the temperature had actually dropped to freezing so decided that saturday, without excuses, I was going out for a run, come hell or high water.

    Neither earthquakes, floods or even snow (unlikely but this is the UK, you never know) were going to stop me! And so once i got home, I donned the kit and my new TinyRebel hoodie and off I went.

    I feel I did really well and despite the grey sky, I enjoyed being out in the fresh air, even if it was a bit chilly and I even remembered to take a tissue with me (my nose ALWAYS gets sniffly when I'm out running)

    First 10k of 2019 at least I didn't have to go it alone. My mother and I walked-jogged-walked from her house, to her friend's house in town and back again. All well and good until my bluetooth earphones, out of nowhere, decided that they'd run out of battery and just switched themselves off when we were just over halfway back. Bleh, tech!

    I feel I really earned my 'Lion' medal for the month - next is the Witch and I cannot wait.
    I'm still going to get out there and walk every day, I want that challenge medal at the end of the year for my collection but now I'm curled up on the sofa with my cat, just chilling.

    Also, I really love this pink top/tunic thing I wore today. 'I'm already famous'
