I am a 68 year year old with severe arthritis. I try to do 5000 steps a day but week ends are my downfall. My challenge would be to maintain 5000 minimum Mon- Fri and 3000 at the weekend. I also would like to lose around 1 lb per week. I am really enjoying the challenges and since I got my fitbit am able to do Marathons around the world. Virtual ones of course.

    Now back from Orlando so I can re adjust my steps down. Just need my legs and knees to recover. Never again will that level of activity be repeated, too old and obviously my knees are too far gone now. Glad my holiday is over really from the point of view of walking so much.

    My legs hurt now I have realised 12,000 steps a day is too much. 45 miles in a week compared with 50 a month. I guess my body is telling me to slow down. I can finally take it easy from now. At least I know and can make adjustments to.my life.

    Well I am a happy little bunny now. Beating my steps daily. My Fitbit is working overtime. Now over 14000 steps a day. So over the colds, snotty runny nose and wintwr chilks. Bring on the summer.

    Can't believe my steps today. Almost triple my usual and its not bedtime. Maybe this is the reformed me.

    Finally sorted out MY mistake. I can continue to step forward and work towards my steps for the Stroke Association. I have people guessing how many miles I will do during given dates. £2 each. 50% then gets returned to the winner of the closest guess and the rest to my chosen charity. Great way to raise money and makes it fun for those who guess. .

    Hi It looks like I might have been sending in my weekly updates to the wrong place and really feel my age. Good job someone else posted that she had also not gotten any feedback. Happy I am not the only one doing it wrong.
