    So another month gone and another medal earned this month. The weight loss however hasn't moved so far, in February. I have been struck by one of those cold that just wont go away. You know the ones that give you a couple of days feeling better and then attack again! As a result I have either eaten nothing or comfort food, but at least the running I have managed has kept the weight I have lost so far safe.
    So on to March and I can't wait. No excuses this month I am going to combine my running with some cycling and try some weights too. Onward and upwards folks x

    My first very well earned Medal has finally arrived. I may have shed a little tear because I am so proud of myself!!!!!

    Hello you gorgeous lot! So my first weigh in session was a super success with 6lbs off! What an amazing start and a huge dent in my 50lb challenge, just 44lbs to go now!

    I am now well into Week 2 of Couch to 5K and absolutely loving it. I am just mad at myself that I didn't start this sooner. Already feeling the benefits with my mental health, it gives me so much clarity and helps me start the day focused and full of energy.

    I also had the privileged of meeting some of the team at The National Running Show over the weekend. I admit I felt a little like a deer in headlights when I got there, but the running community welcomed me with open arms and the Medal Mad Team are amazing. I picked myself up a little treat and got the first of the Fairytale series to start me off. Now this mean I just have to sign up for the rest I need the set!!

    So on to the next weigh in and hopefully rounding up to a full 1/2 stone off. We will see ....

    Hi all, So it's been a while since I checked in last and we have been hit by the New Year bug in our house and so my running was put on hold.

    However... the last 4 days have been amazing. I re-started Couch to 5k on Sunday and have done it everyday since! I am technically supposed to take a rest day in between sessions but I am getting up almost 2 hours earlier than usual desperate to get my trainers on, so I figured I would just roll with it! I already feel more energised and am looking forward to having my first official weigh in tomorrow, so I can update you on how well the 50lb loss is going so far. I am hopping for 7lbs but we will see!!

    With all my hard work this week I have managed to submit my first lot of evidence for my first 5K medal!!!! I can't wait until it arrives so I can hang it next to my treadmill, hopefully the shiny new addition will give me a boost when I start to struggle. Now which medal to pick next???

    Happy New Year to you all!!!

    And what a start I’ve had. As you know I did intend on starting Couch to 5k on Boxing Day but we were delayed coming back home so I ended up waiting until today. It was worth the wait though. I am absolutely exhausted but feel elated. Why did I wait to start for so long? Looking forward to my second session later in the week and I am looking ahead to earning my first medal. I’m coming for you!! ‏ — feeling happy
