    Gutted, on the injury bench after such a huge high - out for at least 8 weeks with a stress fracture - not happy and spiralling into depression rather quickly 😢

    I am buzzing - I only went and did it! My first half completed even with an injury! Originally I was aiming for 3 hours, I had accepted that I was going to be slower because of said injury - final chip time 3 hours 6 minutes. I’m now treating myself with lots of salty baths and no running for a couple of days - saying that I have walked over 10k today (the day after my half) am I mad??

    So I’m doing my first ever half with a injury (not ideal I know) I’ve raised to much in sponsorship to not do it. So my motto for next weekend will be

    Run if I can, walk if I have to, Crawl when necessary but get over that finish line!

    On the plus side my physio has said I’m ok to do it, and with that in mind I’m off for a gentle 2 mile Jeff!

    Oh My God! I ache, I ran my furthest ever yesterday (10 miles). I'm feeling so pleased with it on the one hand, but on the other I am wondering how the hell I'm going to reach 12 in 2 weeks time. This Half marathon training is going to kill me I swear....

    I hate being ill - I’m guessing I’ve overdone it a bit. My body just caved, all of my energy just went. So no running for the past week - however the batteries are recharged so let’s get back on it!

    I’m over the moon with what happened last week. I did my longest run ever - 8 miles... but that isn’t all! I set my fastest 5k time and took a massive 15minutes of my 10k... so so chuffed.

    50k medal complete, nearly done with the 100k as well - so chuffed with that. Half marathon training has stalled a little, however a good friend has offered to take me out for an 8 mile run (my longest run ever) - just a little scared right now!

    20% of the 50k medal already done, you have to love RED January - I wonder if I can keep it up for the whole year!!
    First proper run of the year tonight cold but worth it - 5k smashed!
