Completed my last run of June and clocked up 84km this month 😊 finished it with a very slow Parkrun with my friends to support our friends first Parkrun as she’s only on week 5 of c25k. It made a change to be so far back in the field and being lapped by the leaders (Swindon is a 2 lap route). I finished in 39:00 and my PB is 25:06 so almost 14 minutes slower, but very enjoyable and I sprinted the last km to get to the finish line to take everyone’s finishing pictures. It was never going to be a PB week as still got a cold (or someone suggested it might be hay fever 🤔) and it was very hot so the slow run was just what I needed

Massively excited about getting a PB at Parkrun last weekend 25:06 😍 then I went to RunFestRun and did the 3km and the 10km (toughest race I have ever done) it was extremely hot and hilly but got 2 medals which my little one keeps trying to steal. Then Tuesday club run we got a little lost but a great run 😁

So it’s the end of May and I’ve ran 141.7km this month whoop whoop. I am back in surplus for my annual challenge. Had some great runs this month and there were a lot of hills

Been out a few times this week so far. My new trainers scuffed the back of my ankles on Tuesday so reverted back to my old ones while it heals. So I backmarked Tuesday’s long session up Lady Lane, we got a little lost and had to go back to do a large section we missed 🙈 Thursdays club night was Ladder Lane which is a steep of road hill, but I kept going and ran up it all 😁 Then today I went out to distract myself from daughter being on nursery settling in session. Tomorrow I have Pretty Muddy so that will be fun and laid back with my best friend

So this weekend has been eventful. I purchased myself a new pair of trainers and am no longer a GTS wearer 😱 after 3 pairs I am now a neutral runner and got the Brooks Ghost 11 instead. Wore them for the first time on Saturday at Parkrun and got myself a PB of 25:48 which I am chuffed with! Then Sunday was a 5 mile race and my first as a club member. Got an official time of 45:04 (Strava was just under 45) it was a very warm day and running up a steep hill was made even better by seeing my husband, daughter and in laws on the bridge above cheering me on 😁

So 2 more runs under my belt so far this week. One was a mass club charity run where we invited all the clubs to join us in memory of a member and raise money for 2 of his chosen charities. Then I went out by myself. Only have 39 miles left to do this month to hit my target, I can do it! Got Parkrun on Saturday and then a 5 mile race on Sunday

Been upping my running this month as I entered a virtual race which was 140 miles over 3 months back in Feb to start in March. I had a cracking Feb when I entered but then had a few things come up, so I entered the final month (May) needing to do 73.2 miles (117.8 km) 🙈😱 so I have been out almost everyday so far. I’m having a rest today but will be out on my club run tomorrow and I will achieve it, only 51.6 miles to go. Plus it will help me make up my deficit on my 1000km for 2019 challenge

2 club runs this week which have been pushing me to go faster. Plus love getting to wear my Lucy Locket Leggings. So after 4 months I have a bit of a km deficit to make up for my 1000km target but seeing as I entered a 3 month virtual race which is due to end in May of 140 miles and as of the end of April I still needed to do 73 miles 🙈 I think May I might make some of that up 🤞🏼 Just need to keep going and push hard. Need to make more of an effort to go out as well, too many excuses not to

Never thought I would ever do this as never wanted to run a marathon but the past 2 weeks I’ve been thinking about it more and more and got jealous of a friend doing it this year so I have entered the ballot. I really want this!! 😳🙊🙈

This week I have been out with the club doing my first off road trial run 7km with hills but I was rewarded with Easter eggs at the end 😍 Then I’ve been out to Parkrun today this morning and it was a gorgeous day. Both runs were amazing conditions and thoroughly enjoyed them!! So Parkrun was 12 seconds off my personal best so I’m getting there to beat it again, hopefully it won’t be too long

So this week I joined a running club! This was a big commitment for me and shows how much I have fallen in love with running. I’m also hoping it will help me to progress running with new people who are faster than me. Plus as I’m going back to work tomorrow I’m hoping it will help with my routine and enable me to get out

So after not running for 2 weeks I managed to get out and do a 9km hilly run in Spain and the day after landing home I did a 10km Resolution Run for Stroke Association. Didn’t feel too bad given my break from running due to illness. March was a rubbish month mileage wise so hopefully April is an improvement, although it will be more challenging as my maternity leave ends next week so I’ll be back to work on Monday 🙈

I’ve been ill since Sunday so haven’t been well enough to run. I missed my 10km race on Sunday as I didn’t feel physically well enough to run. I’m hoping to get out and pound the streets as soon as possible

Not been out in a week but what a come back, PB time for Bath Half 2:05:21. So far raised £208 for Alzheimer’s Society which will be matched by my employers. Great experience of a big event. Now to recover and do a midweek run before next Sunday’s 10km

So I completed 123.6km for February which makes up for January’s deficit and puts me with a surplus of 14.5km 😁
So 3 runs this week including a PB at Parkrun of 26:04 (made up) and joining my marathon training friend for part of her long training run. I’ve started tapering off so only did 11.5km as 2 weeks until Bath Half

Done another 4 runs last week including a half marathon. I have made up the deficit from januarys running and should hopefully have a little surplus by the end of this month

So this week I got my Parkrun PB which I was very happy about! 26:25 whoop whoop. Also went out with my friend who is running London Marathon so I had to slow my pace right down to suit her and act as her pacer. Already done more KMs than last month and should have made up last months deficit in my 1000km challenge

So today was supposed to be a 9 miler with my friend who’s training for the London Marathon, but I felt good so I carried on running after leaving her and did a half marathon 🤪 didn’t set out for it but the further I went I thought why not. So 5 weeks away from Bath Half I have proved I can do the distance, just need to improve my pace for race day.
Also I have hit 99.8km so far this year so basically 10% of my challenge distance completed 😁 I will get there and I’ve got loads of events planned to keep me on the right track
