Things going well, still adding distance every month so the challenge is going well. As of this morning September stands at 91.4k.

Lots of medals earnt recently and races run.

Not much going on in October so will have more of a chance to sit and write a better post.

Looking forward to earning the wolf medal. Aiming to do it in one hit, will have to schedule a couple of hours for it to make sure I have time to complete.

Ok, just a quick June round up. I forgot to do it until now, and it's the 19th July. 🙈🙈

Hit my target for June, 87k. July's looking to smash that, currently sitting at 67 ftm. Will have to do some planning to keep it a down a bit.

Colour rush, Stanwick lakes and UVenture completed in June.

    500k MOR medal completed!!

Will check back in 2 weeks to round up July and share my plans for August!

    May Roundup:

This month has been quite a busy one, general running not going so great but I had the MK Marathon weekend half and the Peaky Runners 10 Mile medal to concentrate on.

MK half was tough, my first half marathon and the first of three for this year. Completed in 2hrs 50.

Peaky Runners medal completed 2 weeks after the half, a hilly 10 miles. Don't think I'd recovered fully from the half or maybe it was the rising temperatures but I did struggle.

Few knee problems, hoping it's just from doing the longer mileage, something to keep an eye on. Plantar Fasciitis seems to be in check and hopefully gone for good now. 👍🏻👍🏻

86.4 km ran during May. An increase on last month. Aiming for 87k for June.

Oh, and I turned 40 on the 12th too!

Started June with the Milton Keynes Colour Obstacle Rush, not much running but climbing and general fun. 5k down, 82 remaining.

Until next time, happy running people!

    April roundup.

Wow, these months are whizzing by! 85.9k completed this month, steadily increasing my distance.

    My 85.9k consisted of:
    1 x OCR, muddy fun,
1 x Road race, Easter Bank Holiday - too hot and hilly!
Lots and lots of training runs.

Plantar fasciitis is playing nicely, Run Around London medal earnt in the first week, Runderground medal earnt over the rest of the month.

Half Marathon lined up for May day Bank Holiday, using this one to gauge how much training I need to do.

Planning on completing 87k for May.

    Until next time, happy running!

    March roundup.

March was quite a steady month distance wise. Ended on 84.4 which is an increase on last month but I could have run a lot more if I wanted to.

Really glad I took on this challenge as it would have been too easy to rack the distance up and risk further injury. Being mindful that I need to increase every month really helps to keep it down!

Two local 5k runs completed in March, photo's are above.
Mad as a March Hare completed, I love that this medal is double sided!
50k tree of life medal earnt from Virtual Running Events.

    Moving forward to April,

Hoping to complete my Run Around London 26.2 miles within the first week!

OCR on the 6th and a 10k Easter Road Race on the 22nd.

Keeping it steady, aiming for the 86k mark.

Good luck for the month ahead everyone!

    February roundup!

Scraped in at 81.1km for the month. More than January but not by much.

This week has been quite productive, already at 29k for March with 3 weeks to go. I'll get one full week of running in there, and hopefully manage one a week in the other two. Weekends will be quite busy, two local events in March. Aiming to achieve 85k this month. 👍👍

Busy times since the last time I checked in.

10k trail run on the 17th, it went well. Wasn't too muddy and a medal and jacket potato at the end so well worth the entrance fee!

Shorter run on Friday to get my distance up, cold finally seems to be on it's way out, still a bit bunged up but not blowing out bright green snot so we can deal with that.

Today I completed a half marathon! Garmin kindly gave me a badge for it. I ran with my friend, I wanted to curl up into a ball and cry at 18k but he kept me going and I mentally put my big girl pants on and ran the last 750 meters after struggling with the previous 4k.

Left foot swelled up, very painful like a bruise. Voltorol cured it but I need to find out the cause. Thinking it may just be the extra distance but am going to run in my other trainers next time I do a long run, see if it happens again.

Monthly total now sitting at 80.7k, exactly the same as January. Meaning I have to do a tiny run to take it over. Hopefully I'll be able to do this tomorrow but if not I have until midnight Thursday. 😂😂

16th February and all is not going well, just 38.4k done of a minimum of 81.
11k completed last Sunday in the rain, I stupidly decided that it was warm enough to run in a t-shirt.... Wrong!! My arms were numb by the time I got home. 🤭🤭
Another 5k done during the week.
    Battling illness, cough, snot, shivers.
Trail run tomorrow, 10k, medal and a jacket potato at the end..... I know which one I'm looking forward to the most! 😋😋

Have a good week and I'll check in soon. Hopefully less snottier!

Not much to report. Did the London Winter Run 10k on Sunday, great fun, good atmosphere. Something special about running along closed roads of London.
Think I may struggle to get my mileage in this month. Only 23.7k done this week as I've had my shifts changed at work. Planning an 11 for Sunday but won't be able to go out before then.
On a lighter note, the 23.7k completed my 100k medal.

Well, made it to the show. Both physically and virtually! Only 4k clocked up last week, but I've done nearly 60 so far for January so well on my way to beat December. I'm aiming for 75+ for this month but need to keep it under 80 so I don't risk aggravating my plantar fasciitis. Planning to run with my pony friend tomorrow but at the moment it's touch and go because I have sick children.

Good to see everyone from MedalMad at the show, I even picked up some leggings and a medal. Oh, and of course some Soreen! 😂😂

One week in and I'm well on my way to beating December's distance. 42km so far for January.
I actually made a huge mistake and decided to join the Run The World challenge for the National Running Show on the 19th. Thought that 59 miles didn't sound too far and yes, of course I can do that.
Come January 1st, I still have 35 miles left and a week and a half to do it in. I won't be able to run next week as my boyfriend and I work opposite shifts and I'm on early shift next week. It means I'll have the children straight after work.
So here I am, running everyday, it's not feeling too bad and my plantar fasciitis isn't too painful. It's not hurting when I'm running but I am suffering the consequences later in the day.
12 more miles to the show and then my foot can rest and heal!

Happy new year everyone! I started the new year off with my first parkrun. I can't normally get to them because they're on Saturdays and I have 2 small people to take care of/wrangle.
So...... 5km down and only 995 left for my Eat, sleep, run, repeat medal. 😳🎖️🥇
December finished quite well, ended up on 67.21km, just short of my all time furthest of 67.24km for October. I knew I should have added that extra loop instead of carrying on straight. 😂😂
Onwards and forwards everyone, onwards and forwards.
