My goal is to complete 1000K in 2019, not from my daily steps but focused fitness walking and running. I'm a newbie to running so January was all about walking, I'm currently about to start walking/jogging my mileage on February 1st, but by the end of the year I want to be comfortably and happily running it :) And it all has to be done outside, despite the weather!

The reason for me doing this is I lost my Mum last summer, which happened unexpectedly, and as a result afterwards my fitness levels took a huge nose dive. Basically any type of fitness became non-existent. So some time has passed and it's now a new year and time to set some new goals and to focus on wellness and fitness again.

Following a long lay off after brain surgery, I need to start running again, with no races entered and 6 young children, motivation is needed to keep getting me out there!
I have set myself the modest target of just 500miles for the year, I would also like to hit the average of the 10miles in each week if I can. I am an oxymoron in that despite running the London Marathon I am lazy! I struggled to be motivated to train properly and have never actually hit my 'modest' target of 500miles since I started running in 2010.
So, here I am. Trying to find my feet again (literally, piled on the pounds!!) going for my first ever year long challenge and hoping to stick with it all the way to completion

Making 2019 the year of nineteens - I will aim to run in 19 different places (towns or countries, not just different roads!) and take part in 19 different races for 19 different medals. I will also take part in 19 Parkruns - either running or as a volunteer.

I often run the same routes near my home every week, so it will be good to get out and explore different areas.
