  • Not great still, but managed to get back out there at least. I really enjoy running with my son, but being 8, it kind of limits how far I can go!
    This week, I ran to the local cinema to pick up tickets for Angry Birds 2 (pretty good actually, if you haven't seen it!) which I managed to stretch out to 2.5miles. I then headed out again a couple of days later and ran 6miles, somehow managing to hit my normal pacing, despite not running more than 4 miles in over a month and feeling like I was really struggling.
    I am hopeful of getting out again for another 2 miles at some point today with my son. not exactly flying feet, but I am eeking my way forwards!

  • So the past few days i havent ran. This is because I had a new tattoo on my leg sleeve on tuesday. Then i had my lower 2 wisdom teeth extracred yesterday. I am going to see how i am for running on saturday and if i can put in a decent run. Even if it is at a super slow walk/run pace. My leg feels fine now and teeth are suprisingly okay, however the little rascals could be leading me into a false sense of security. I dont want to aggravate the wounds by running. Was given sone great advice on hear and im going to listen. Also i had it under general anastetic so my eyesight is still a little blurry from that, so wouldnt risk running and teipping on something i dont see.

    I know i have had a pretty crap month this montg for running. But i feel i can still hit target with a few good runs out. If i dont hit target then so be it. But im going to try. Also i will definitely be hitting my yearly target of 500km. Im currently sitting on 291km for the year. So have nearly hit my initial target. Im very glad i upped it to 500km. It will give me the push i need to run through the winter months. Altgough i love running in the cold much more than yhe warm!

    This one is dedicated to my Daddy. It was his birthday yesterday and I miss him more every day. He is the reason I started running. I ran to raise funds for Macmillans as a thankyou for all they did for us whilst my Dad fought with all he had. I love you Daddy, this ones for you x

  • So far this month has been a good month as started to add a bit of jogging in my workouts and not had any issues with either my ankle or back though my knee still doesn’t enjoy it but still progress. 50 miles done already this month.

  • No Parkruns for the last few weeks. Other events such as festivals means can't get there. Plenty of running though. Still in training for Great North Run which is in 3 weeks. Going to try to get to Newcastle Parkrun the day before. On track for my other challenge of 1000k in 2019. 🏃‍♀️👊💪

  • Just a quick accountability update. Weight loss has been a slower journey than I anticipated, but I am still trying to keep my focus on this goal. I went up some first to 189 lbs - not proud of that, but it did help me to realize that I had to lose weight.
    This morning, I weighed myself in at 182 lbs. I have been making some lifestyle changes that have helped a lot, and plan to keep at it with those until I'm back where I want to be!

    I have had a week or so off as i was on holiday in Devon. I didn't hit my goal last month. But thats okay. Im going to add what i missed from last month onto this month and hit it plus 60km again. I really enjoyed my holiday as it was a good rest however i injured my foot. The one thing devon has plenty of that Peterborough doesn't is HILLS. Wow they are tough to run up.

    I have a massive target to hit this month for me, but im more determined than ever to do it. I dont know if i will because im having my wisdom teeth out in a couple of days!! So im unsure wether i will be able to run after. If anyone has experience i would love to hear wether you could run after your extractions. But im pretty sure i can still acheive just iver 75km for the month.

    I will keep my posts coming.
