They See Me Rollin’...

Hi, I'm Leanne, also known as LippyArt! I thought my first blog post on here should include a little about me 😊...

Using art, photography, and live demonstrations, my mission is to educate the world on the importance of both disability awareness and wildlife conservation. I endeavour to break stereotypes, challenge perceptions, push boundaries, and to inspire others to create (no matter what their abilities). Life is too short for regrets - this world is a great big canvas, and we should be throwing all the paint on it we can! 😉

I am currently doing a project called "Coddiwomple", which is what brought me to this website/app! The word is an old English expression meaning "to travel in a purposeful manner towards an - as yet - unknown destination", which I personally find very inspirational and fitting; some of my best adventures were often unplanned happy accidents! For the vast majority of my adventures, I travel with my loyal canine companion, called JD. She will walk with me until her little legs get tired, then continue enjoying the adventure riding in my wheelchair with me. You’ll likely see her starring in many future photos & videos! 😊

My aim during this project is to find beautiful outdoor walks and trails (preferably pet-friendly), attempt them in my electric wheelchair (which currently is not all-terrain; although hopefully one day), then post honest information about those trails (and advice - where possible - on alternative routes), in the hopes of helping others with disabilities access the great outdoors - both countryside and urban - hopefully finding some cool, epic places to explore. After all, just because our wheelchair has limits doesn't mean our lives have to!
